Reading a prescription label and ordering refills
Abstract
This handout explains how to read a prescription label and order refills. Included is a copy of a label showing where to find your UWMC patient ID number, the number of refills allowed, the date of your original prescription, the prescription (Rx) number, and the date that the drug expires and must be discarded.
